Abu Hurairah narrated: Indeed the Messenger of Allah cursed the women who visit the graves.

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَعَنَ زَوَّارَاتِ الْقُبُورِ . قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَحَسَّانَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رَأَى بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ:‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ هَذَا كَانَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُرَخِّصَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي زِيَارَةِ الْقُبُورِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا رَخَّصَ دَخَلَ فِي رُخْصَتِهِ الرِّجَالُ وَالنِّسَاءُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّمَا كُرِهَ زِيَارَةُ الْقُبُورِ لِلنِّسَاءِ لِقِلَّةِ صَبْرِهِنَّ وَكَثْرَةِ جَزَعِهِنَّ

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے قبروں کی زیادہ زیارت کرنے والی عورتوں پر لعنت بھیجی ہے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اس باب میں ابن عباس اور حسان بن ثابت سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں، ۳- بعض اہل علم کا خیال ہے کہ یہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے قبروں کی زیارت کی اجازت دینے سے پہلے کی بات ہے۔ جب آپ نے اس کی اجازت دے دی تو اب اس اجازت میں مرد اور عورتیں دونوں شامل ہیں، ۴- بعض کہتے ہیں کہ عورتوں کے لیے قبروں کی زیارت ان کی قلت صبر اور کثرت جزع فزع کی وجہ سے مکروہ ہے۔
