Abdullah bin Mas'ud narrated that: The Messenger of Allah said: Whoever has three that precede him (in death) while they did not reach the age of puberty, then they will be a well-fortified fortress for him against the Fire.

حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ يُوسُفَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْعَوَّامُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مُحَمَّدٍ مَوْلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ قَدَّمَ ثَلَاثَةً لَمْ يَبْلُغُوا الْحُلُمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏كَانُوا لَهُ حِصْنًا حَصِينًا مِنَ النَّارِ . قَالَ أَبُو ذَرٍّ:‏‏‏‏ قَدَّمْتُ اثْنَيْنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَاثْنَيْنِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ أُبَيُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ سَيِّدُ الْقُرَّاءِ:‏‏‏‏ قَدَّمْتُ وَاحِدًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَوَاحِدًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَكِنْ إِنَّمَا ذَاكَ عِنْدَ الصَّدْمَةِ الْأُولَى . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْ أَبِيهِ.

عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جس نے تین بچوں کو ( لڑکے ہوں یا لڑکیاں ) بطور ذخیرہ آخرت کے آگے بھیج دیا ہو، اور وہ سن بلوغت کو نہ پہنچے ہوں تو وہ اس کے لیے جہنم سے بچانے کا ایک مضبوط قلعہ ہوں گے“۔ اس پر ابوذر رضی الله عنہ نے عرض کیا: میں نے دو بچے بھیجے ہیں؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”دو بھی کافی ہیں“۔ تو ابی بن کعب سید القراء ۱؎ رضی الله عنہ نے عرض کیا: میں نے ایک ہی بھیجا ہے؟ تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”ایک بھی کافی ہے۔ البتہ یہ قلعہ اس وقت ہوں گے جب وہ پہلے صدمے کے وقت یعنی مرنے کے ساتھ ہی صبر کرے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث غریب ہے، ۲- ابوعبیدہ عبیدہ نے اپنے والد عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی الله عنہ سے نہیں سنا ہے۔
