Abu Ad-Dardh narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: Nothing is placed on the Scale that is heavier than good character. Indeed the person with good character will have attained the rank of the person of fasting and prayer.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ بْنُ اللَّيْثِ الْكُوفِيُّ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ الدَّرْدَاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ مَا مِنْ شَيْءٍ يُوضَعُ فِي الْمِيزَانِ أَثْقَلُ مِنْ حُسْنِ الْخُلُقِ وَإِنَّ صَاحِبَ حُسْنِ الْخُلُقِ لَيَبْلُغُ بِهِ دَرَجَةَ صَاحِبِ الصَّوْمِ وَالصَّلَاةِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ.

ابو الدرداء رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   میں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا: ”میزان میں رکھی جانے والی چیزوں میں سے اخلاق حسنہ ( اچھے اخلاق ) سے بڑھ کر کوئی چیز وزنی نہیں ہے، اور اخلاق حسنہ کا حامل اس کی بدولت روزہ دار اور نمازی کے درجہ تک پہنچ جائے گا“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث اس سند سے غریب ہے۔
