Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W) said: Al-'Ajwah is from Paradise and it contains a cure for poison. Truffles are a form of manna, and its liquid is a cure for the eye.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ أَبِي السَّفَرِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي السَّفَرِ، وَمَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ الْعَجْوَةُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَفِيهَا شِفَاءٌ مِنَ السُّمِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْكَمْأَةُ مِنَ الْمَنِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَاؤُهَا شِفَاءٌ لِلْعَيْنِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَجَابِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهُوَ مِنْ حَدِيثِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو.

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”عجوہ ( کھجور ) جنت کا پھل ہے، اس میں زہر سے شفاء موجود ہے اور صحرائے عرب کا «فقعہ» ۱؎ ایک طرح کا «من» ( سلوی والا «من» ) ہے، اس کا عرق آنکھ کے لیے شفاء ہے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن غریب ہے، ۲- یہ محمد بن عمرو کی روایت سے ہے، ہم اسے صرف محمد بن عمر ہی سعید بن عامر کی روایت سے جانتے ہیں جسے وہ محمد بن عمرو سے روایت کرتے ہیں، ۳- اس باب میں سعید بن زید، ابوسعید اور جابر رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں۔
