Narrated Ibn `Abbas: Regarding the Verse: Verily! The worst of beasts in the Sight of Allah are the deaf and the dumb---- those who understand not. (8.22) (The people referred to here) were some persons from the tribe of Bani `Abd-Addar.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَرْقَاءُ ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، إِنَّ شَرَّ الدَّوَابِّ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ الصُّمُّ الْبُكْمُ الَّذِينَ لا يَعْقِلُونَ سورة الأنفال آية 22 ، قَالَ : هُمْ نَفَرٌ مِنْ بَنِي عَبْدِ الدَّارِ .

ہم سے محمد بن یوسف فریابی نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ورقاء بن عمر نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابن ابی نجیح نے، ان سے مجاہد نے اور ان سے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہ   آیت «إن شر الدواب عند الله الصم البكم الذين لا يعقلون‏» ”بدترین حیوانات اللہ کے نزدیک وہ بہرے گونگے ہیں جو عقل سے ذرا کام نہیں لیتے۔“ بنو عبدالدار کے کچھ لوگوں کے بارے میں اتری تھی۔
