Ibn Abbas (Allah be pleased with him) reported: Do not condemn one who observes fast, or one who does not observe (in a journey). for the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) observed fast in a journey or he did not observe it (too).

وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، قَالَ: «لَا تَعِبْ عَلَى مَنْ صَامَ، وَلَا عَلَى مَنْ أَفْطَرَ، قَدْ صَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي السَّفَرِ وَأَفْطَرَ»

  ابو کریب ، وکیع ، سفیان ، عبدالکریم ، طاؤس ، حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے انہوں نے فرمایا کہ ہم برا بھلا نہیں کہتے تھے کہ جو روزہ رکھے اور نہ ہی برا بھلا کہتے ہیں جو آدمی سفر میں روزہ نہ رکھے تحقیق رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے سفر میں روزہ رکھا بھی اور روزہ افطار بھی کیاہے ۔
