Ata said The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said to Aishah Your observance of circumambulation of the Kaabah and your running between Al Safa’ and al Marwah (only once) are sufficient for your Hajj and your ‘Umrah. Al Shafi’i said The narrator Sufyan has transmitted this tradition from Ata on the authority of Aishah and also narrated it on the authority of Ata stating that the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said to Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her).

حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنِي الشَّافِعِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ لَهَا:‏‏‏‏ طَوَافُكِ بِالْبَيْتِ وَبَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَ الْمَرْوَةِ يَكْفِيكِ لِحَجَّتِكِ وَعُمْرَتِكِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ الشَّافِعِيُّ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ سُفْيَانُ رُبَّمَا قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِعَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا.

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان سے فرمایا: بیت اللہ کا تمہارا طواف اور صفا و مروہ کی سعی حج و عمرہ دونوں کے لیے کافی ہے ۔ شافعی کہتے ہیں: سفیان نے اس روایت کو کبھی عطاء سے اور انہوں نے ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت کیا ہے، اور کبھی عطاء سے مرسلاً روایت کیا ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے فرمایا۔
