Abdullah ibn as-Saib reported on the authority of his father as-Saib that he used to lead Ibn Abbas (when he become blind) and make him stand in the third corner that was adjacent to the corner (Black Stone) near the entrance of the Kabah. Ibn Abbas used to say: Has it been reported to you that the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم would pray in this place. He would reply: Yes. He then used to stand (there) and pray.

حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا السَّائِبُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْمَخْزُومِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ،‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُودُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ فَيُقِيمُهُ عِنْدَ الشُّقَّةِ الثَّالِثَةِ مِمَّا يَلِي الرُّكْنَ الَّذِي يَلِي الْحَجَرَ مِمَّا يَلِي الْبَابَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَيَقُولُ لَهُ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ:‏‏‏‏ أُنْبِئْتُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي هَا هُنَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَيَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَيَقُومُ فَيُصَلِّي .
