The aforesaid tradition has been transmitted by Al Zuhri through a different chain of narrators. This version adds “Each prayer with an iqamah”. Ahmad reported on the authority of Waki “he offered each prayer with a single iqamah. ”

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ بِإِسْنَادِهِ وَمَعْنَاهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ بِإِقَامَةٍ إِقَامَةِ جَمْعٍ بَيْنَهُمَا ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَحْمَدُ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ وَكِيعٌ:‏‏‏‏ صَلَّى كُلَّ صَلَاةٍ بِإِقَامَةٍ .

اس سند سے بھی زہری سے اسی طریق سے اسی مفہوم کی حدیث مروی ہے   البتہ اس میں ہے کہ ایک ہی اقامت سے دونوں کو جمع کیا۔ احمد کہتے ہیں: وکیع نے کہا: ہر نماز الگ الگ اقامت سے پڑھی۔
