Narrated Abu Malik al-Ashari: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: Allah has protected you from three things: that your Prophet should not invoke a curse on you and should all perish, that those who follow what is false should not prevail over those who follow the truth, and that you should not all agree in an error.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ الطَّائِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ ابْنُ عَوْفٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَرَأْتُ فِي أَصْلِ إِسْمَاعِيل، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي ضَمْضَمٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ شُرَيْحٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ يَعْنِي الْأَشْعَرِيَّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ اللَّهَ أَجَارَكُمْ مِنْ ثَلَاثِ خِلَالٍ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْ لَا يَدْعُوَ عَلَيْكُمْ نَبِيُّكُمْ فَتَهْلَكُوا جَمِيعًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَنْ لَا يَظْهَرَ أَهْلُ الْبَاطِلِ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْحَقِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَنْ لَا تَجْتَمِعُوا عَلَى ضَلَالَةٍ .

ابو مالک اشعری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اللہ نے تمہیں تین آفتوں سے بچا لیا ہے: ایک یہ کہ تمہارا نبی تم پر ایسی بدعا نہیں کرے گا کہ تم سب ہلاک ہو جاؤ، دوسری یہ کہ اہل باطل اہل حق پر غالب نہیں آئیں گے، تیسری یہ کہ تم سب گمراہی پر متفق نہیں ہو گے ۔
