حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَسُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَحْيَى الْكَاهِلِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْمُسَوَّرِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْأَسَدِيِّ الْمَالِكِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ شَهِدْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَتَرَكَ شَيْئًا لَمْ يَقْرَأْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏تَرَكْتَ آيَةَ كَذَا وَكَذَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ هَلَّا أَذْكَرْتَنِيهَا . قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كُنْتُ أُرَاهَا نُسِخَتْ. وقَالَسُلَيْمَانُ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ كَثِيرٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُسَوَّرُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْأَسَدِيُّ الْمَالِكِيُّ.

Urdu Translation

مسور بن یزید مالکی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نماز میں قرآت کر رہے تھے، ( یحییٰ کی روایت میں ہے کبھی مسور نے یوں کہا کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو دیکھا کہ آپ نماز میں قرآت کر رہے تھے ) تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کچھ آیتیں چھوڑ دیں، انہیں نہیں پڑھا ( نماز کے بعد ) ایک شخص نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! آپ نے فلاں فلاں آیتیں چھوڑ دی ہیں، اس پر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تم نے مجھے یاد کیوں نہیں دلایا؟ ۔ سلیمان نے اپنی روایت میں کہا کہ: میں یہ سمجھتا تھا کہ وہ منسوخ ہو گئی ہیں -سلیمان کی روایت میں ہے کہ مجھ سے یحییٰ بن کثیر ازدی نے بیان کیا، وہ کہتے ہیں: ہم سے مسور بن یزید اسدی مالکی نے بیان کیا۔ عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے نماز پڑھی، اس میں قرآت کی تو آپ کو شبہ ہو گیا، جب نماز سے فارغ ہوئے تو ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا: کیا تم نے ہمارے ساتھ نماز پڑھی ہے؟ ، ابی نے کہا: ہاں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تمہیں ( لقمہ دینے سے ) کس چیز نے روک دیا؟ ۔

English Translation

Narrated Al-Miswar ibn Yazid al-Maliki: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم recited - Yahya (sub narrator) said: Sometimes al-Miswar said: I prayed along with the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم and witnessed that he recited - the Quran during the prayer and omitted something (i. e. some verses inadvertently) which he did not recite. A man said to him: Messenger of Allah, you omitted such-and-such verse. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: Why did you not remind me of it? The narrator Sulayman said in his version: He (the man) said: I thought that it (the verse) was repealed.
