حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْأَشْعَثِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سُلَيْمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْتِفَاتِ الرَّجُلِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّمَا هُوَ اخْتِلَاسٌ يَخْتَلِسُهُ الشَّيْطَانُ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْعَبْدِ .

Urdu Translation

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ   میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے آدمی کے نماز کے ادھر ادھر دیکھنے کے متعلق پوچھا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: یہ بندے کی نماز سے شیطان کا اچک لینا ہے ( یعنی اس کے ثواب میں سے ایک حصہ اڑا لیتا ہے ) ۔

English Translation

Aishah said: I asked the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم about looking to the sides during prayer. He said: It is something which the devil snatches from a servant’s prayers.
