It was narrated that 'Ali bin Abu Talib said: I was sitting with the Prophet, and 'Ammar bin Yasir asked permission to enter. The Prophet said: 'Let him in, welcome to the good and the purified.'

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ هَانِئِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاسْتَأْذَنَ عَمَّارُ بْنُ يَاسِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ ائْذَنُوا لَهُ مَرْحَبًا بِالطَّيِّبِ الْمُطَيَّبِ .

علی بن ابی طالب رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   میں نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس بیٹھا ہوا تھا، عمار بن یاسر رضی اللہ عنہما نے اندر آنے کی اجازت چاہی تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: انہیں آنے کی اجازت دو، «طیب و مطیب» پاک و پاکیزہ شخص کو خوش آمدید ۔
