Hadith on Ikhlaq
Hadith on Ikhlaq is a didactic piece of knowledge that has taught Muslims to be good human beings, kind, honest, patient and respectful. Abdullah ibn Amr reported that the Prophet stated:
"Verily, among the best of you are those with the best character."

Islamic Teaching About Manners (Ikhlaq)
Manners, as taught by the religion of Islam, are not only social customs but a basic aspect of faith and worship.
- Truthfulness and Honesty (Sidq): Honesty in speech, commerce, and life is obligatory. The Qur'an tells Muslims to "be with those who are true,".
- Humility (Tawadu): Believers are taught to walk in humility on the earth, respecting all people, no matter what their social status, wealth, or race is.
- Patience and Self-Control (Sabr): The Prophet once said, "The valiant one is not the one who can wrestle, but the one who can restrain himself from being angry.
- Respect Parents and Elders: Honoring one's parents is right after worship of God in the Quran. Moreover, Islamic manners stipulate kindness to young people and respect for old people.
- Guardianship of the Tongue: Speaking good words or remaining silent is a direct sign of faith. Backbiting, slander, and swearing are great sinful deeds.
- Hospitality and Neighborliness: The duty to welcome visitors and to keep good relations with neighbours, whatever their religion.
