Doors to European countries have been shut for
Pakistani tourists as they have placed Pakistani tourists in category
–v. According to diplomatic sources the process for obtaining tourist
visas for Pakistani tourists in 26 countries included in European Union
(EU) has been made an uphill task. Now acquiring visa by Pakistanis has
become next to impossible.

Sources said EU has not only taken this step for Pakistanis but also for
the tourists from the countries of third world. Because the tourists
from third world not only misuse their visas after entering into
European countries but also start filing applications for seeking asylum
in Europe before expiry of their visa date . This way they impact
adversely the economy of EU and vitiate the environment. Therefore the
procedure for acquiring visit visa by the applicants has been made
difficult in respect of European countries.
Under the new procedure the applicants will have to provide credible
evidence. The applicants of other categories of visa will also have to
pass through a difficult procedure. They are required to provide solid
evidence for proceeding to European countries, living therein and for
fulfilling other requirements.
The ratio of rejection of applications for visa aspirants from Pakistan
to European countries is already high while several countries have
stopped receiving applications since the last several months.

When asked, it was told to Online that applications already received
from Pakistanis are in large number. Therefore, new applications can be
received after the pending applications are dealt with.
The 26 countries included in EU are Austria, Check Republic, Denmark,
Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy,
Lootia, Lithonia, Luxemburg, Malta, Netherland, Norway, Poland,
Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden and Switzerland.
Visa of only one country is required to visit the Schengen countries. |
