Pakistan’s 85-member squad of special players reached
Pakistan with 57 medals including gold, silver and bronze late on Monday
after showing brilliant performance in the Athens Special Olympics World
Games.
Hundreds of supporters reached at the Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi
airports to paid tribute to their special players performed brilliantly
in the Special Olympics. Pakistan got 17 gold medals, 27 silver medals
and 13 bronze medals in the special games.

Pakistan’s Adeel Ameer won three gold medals including one gold medal in
100 meters race and was declared world’s fastest special man. While
Bakhtawar Gul won two gold medals and was declared world’s fastest
special woman.
Some 7,500 special players and 25,000 volunteers of 180 countries
participated in the Athens Special Olympics, was held in Greece.
Out of the 85 special players, 18 reached at Benazir International
Airport, Islamabad: 12 at Allama Iqbal International Airport and 55 at
Jinnah International Airport Karachi.
