Here’s How To Send HD Quality Photos on WhatsApp

Mark Zuckerberg has announced that Meta's sub-messaging application WhatsApp will introduce a feature to send photos in HD quality.

More than 2 billion people worldwide use WhatsApp, but until now, they couldn’t directly send high-definition (HD) images or videos on this platform. This is changing as a new feature has been introduced in the messaging app owned by Meta.

Through this feature, users will be able to share HD images on WhatsApp. This feature was announced by Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, in a Facebook post. This feature was being tested in the beta version of WhatsApp for several months and is now available for all users.

How to use this amazing feature?

To access this new feature, you need to update your WhatsApp app first. After updating the application, when you upload an image in a chat, you’ll see an HD option in the image editing menu. When you click on this HD button, a new pop-up window will appear where you can select the photo quality. By default, WhatsApp uses standard quality for images, but now there’s an option for HD quality as well.

According to the company, HD photos have better clarity, while standard photos take up less storage space and can be sent faster.

When a user selects HD quality and sends an image, it will have an “HD” label in the bottom left corner. The company began introducing the feature for HD photos on August 17, and it will be available to all users in the coming weeks. Later, the option for HD videos will also be introduced.
