UC Browser, a product of Alibaba Mobile Business
Group, has announced that it will be kicking off a special campaign in
the spirit of the upcoming month of Ramadan for Pakistani users. Part of
the campaign will be Ramadan specific content, games and competitions.
UC Browser which recently attained a 400 million user base. It values
its users’ religious aspirations and strives to offer highly localized
content to its users.

A new update will be made available upon the beginning of Ramadan which
will be brim-filled with Ramadan goodies. UC Browser users will be able
to apply new Ramadan themes to their browser home screen. Users will
also find in their browser a new “Ramadan” card similar to the
“Headlines” and “Sports” cards inside which Ramadan content will be
published including daily Quranic quotes along with their translations,
authentic Hadeeth, and other popular content related to auspicious month
of Ramadan. Users will also find all the activities under the UC Browser
social media campaign #UCRamadan in this section.

The UC users will also be able to utilize the highly popular
notifications feature this Ramadan. User will receive timely
notifications of the 5 prayer, Seher and Aftaar times according to their
locations and the latest news during Ramadan. According to Mr Kenny Ye,
GM of Global Markets, Alibaba Mobile Business Group, “Users should raise
their expectations this Ramadan as UC Browser is bringing features we
believe will be extremely useful to its users. We questioned what the
needs of our users in Ramadan are and converted them into handy
features. Also, we have some great plans for Eid-ul-Fitr but that will
be a surprise for our users.” |
