How too much mangoes can affect your health?

When one often succumbs to over eat mangoes, it is usual that there would be side effects of it too as we all know too much consumption of anything isn’t very good for our health. Mango is the King of Fruits, mangoes are eaten ripen as dessert in different forms whereas unripe mango is consumed in the form of chutneys, pickles or as sour and sweet combo of flavoring agent. Mangoes enriched with phytochemicals and nutrients tempts us to over eat mangoes that has some side effects too.
 

Increases Blood Sugar Level:

Ripe mangoes are a rich source of sugar so they usually become the reason of rise in blood sugar level. Individuals suffering from diabetes are advised not to eat ripe mangoes as the fruit often becomes dangerous for them.


Diarrhea:

A mango of medium size has 3 gram of fiber in it. When you’re not able to hold your temptation over mangoes, you’re consuming excessive amount of fiber that causes diarrhea thus over eating of mangoes should be completely restrained!


 

Weight Gain:

It is true that mangoes are high in natural sugars containing about 31 grams per mango. They are laden with calories but they are not bad in nature. We are here talking about the excessive eating of mango that often results in weight gain. Being a rich source of sugar, it is considered bad for people on weight loss. So, if you are keen to maintain your waist line, avoid over eating of mangoes.


 

Allergic Reactions:

The peel of mangoes is responsible for the allergy in most occasions. The allergic reaction is not deadly, but the anaphylactic shock may occur in very few cases.

Artificial ripening is common in developing countries and practiced by farmers and sellers to fetch a good price early in the season. Ripening agents such as calcium carbide, banned in many countries, are used for artificial ripening of mangoes and other fruits that causes too much to our health.


Contact dermatitis:

Mango is known to control a chemical called urushiol. Several people are more prone to contact dermatitis that causes skin to feel burned. In sensitive individuals, urushiol can cause an allergic skin rash on contact.
