Namal Novel Theme

The Namal novel deals with murder, revenge, corruption, justice, family relationships and the difference between truth and what people are made to believe. Money and influence help some characters hide crimes and turn situations in their favor. Faith also stays connected with the story, with ideas and references taken from Surah An-Naml. The novel also deals with loyalty, greed, forgiveness, and the damage caused by revenge. Much of the conflict comes from the Ghazi, Yousuf, and Kardar families and the secrets that connect them.

Namal Novel Summary

The story follows Faris Ghazi, an intelligence officer who is convicted of killing his wife and stepbrother and attempting to kill Zumar Yousuf. Zumar survives but believes Faris attacked her, while Saadi Yousuf remains convinced that he is innocent. Hashim Kardar, Faris's cousin and a lawyer, is behind the crimes and creates circumstances that make Faris look guilty. Faris later comes out of prison and starts working against Hashim. Zumar, Saadi, Haneen, and members of the Ghazi, Yousuf, and Kardar families become part of the case as old secrets, court matters, and family conflicts slowly bring the truth forward.

Reviews & Comments

I have recommended Namal to so many of my friends because it is much more than just a typical romantic novel. The research Nimra Ahmed did for the legal and intelligence parts of the story is very impressive.

I’ve always wanted to read Namal, and the characters sound really interesting. I like stories where everyone has their own strengths and flaws, it makes it more real. Faris Ghazi seems like someone I’d love to read about.
