Chaudhry Abid Sher Ali is a Pakistani politician and senior PML-N leader. He has served multiple terms as an MNA. Abid is currently a senator in Pakistan’s upper house of Parliament. He has also held ministerial roles, including Minister of State for Water and Power and Minister of State for Power.
Chaudhry Abid Sher Ali biography states that he was born on November 21, 1971, in Faisalabad. He comes from a prominent political family. His father, the late Chaudhry Sher Ali, was a former mayor of Faisalabad, a senior PML-N leader, and a relative of Kulsoom Nawaz Sharif. His mother, the late Zuhra Begum, was a first cousin of Nawaz Sharif.
