Personal Profile About Ayla Musharraf
Ayla Musharraf is the daughter of former Army Chief and President of Pakistan, General Pervez Musharraf, and Sehba Musharraf, she is a Pakistani architect and cultural personality. She was born on 18th of February, 1970 in Karachi. She pursued studies in Architecture from Dawood Engineering College and then from the National College of Arts (NCA), Lahore and earned her Bachelor of Architecture degree. She later joined the All Pakistan Music Conference (APMC) in Karachi and actively participated in classical music promotion and traditional performing arts.
Ayla has been married to Pak Pakistani film and television director and producer Asim Raza since they met while studying architecture. The couple has two daughters Maryam Raza and Zainab Raza. Her brother is Bilal Musharraf and her paternal grandparents, Syed Musharraf and Zarin Musharraf, were also keen on music. Ayla's cultural interests began with listening to ghazals as a child, and went on to include classical music.

Ayla has only one daughter named Mariam Raza with her husband, Asim Raza. Mariam is a lecturer currently at the Institute of English Studies, University of the Punjab in Pakistan. She tied the knot recently, in February 2026.
