Personal Profile About Pervez Musharraf
Pervez Musharraf is a military officer and a politician from Pakistan, who was the President of the country and earlier the army chief of the Pakistan Army. Born in Delhi, British India on 11 August 1943, he moved to Pakistan after Partition. He entered the Pakistan Army, and worked his way up the ranks before he became Army Chief. Later, he assumed the government and became President of Pakistan from 20 June 2001 to 18 August 2008.
Musharraf was married to Sehba Musharraf and they had two children, Bilal and Ayla. His father, Syed Musharrafuddin, was a diplomat and his mother was Begum Zarin Musharraf. He was a brother of two brothers, Javed and Naved. After a long illness Musharraf passed away in Dubai on 5 February 2023 and was buried in Karachi.
