Gudakesh Motie is a Guyanese international cricketer playing for the West Indies. He was born in Georgetown, Guyana, on 29 March 1995, and is a left-arm orthodox spinner and lower-order left-handed batsman. Motie was also a first-class debutant for Guyana in 2015, and represented the West Indies in the Under-19 World Cup in 2014.
He made his debut T20I appearance against Pakistan in December 2021, and his debut Test and ODI appearances were against Bangladesh in 2022. Motie has since become known for his stellar 2023 Test series performance against Zimbabwe, becoming the Player of the Series. He has also appeared at the international level for the franchise teams such as Guyana Amazon Warriors and Multan Sultans.
