Jam Kamal Khan Gold Vam Revision
In September 2026, Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan asked the Commerce Ministry to send the gold jewellery value-addition mechanism revision to the federal cabinet for approval. The industry had proposed rates of $1.50 per gram for plain bangles and chains, $2 for other plain jewellery, and $4 for studded jewellery.
