Holiday in city educational institutions today

All educational institutions in Karachi will remain closed on Thursday on account of Muharram 1. Sindh Senior Minister for Information and Education Nisar Khuhro said on Wednesday that all schools in the city would remain closed on the day but there would be no holiday in any government organisation or department. Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah had on Tuesday declared the first of Muharram a holiday in Karachi on account of the death anniversary of Hazrat Umar Farooq.
