حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُوسَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ الْعُمْرَى أَنْ يَقُولَ الرَّجُلُ لِلرَّجُلِ:‏‏‏‏ هُوَ لَكَ مَا عِشْتَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِذَا قَالَ ذَلِكَ:‏‏‏‏ فَهُوَ لَهُ وَلِوَرَثَتِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالرُّقْبَى هُوَ أَنْ يَقُولَ:‏‏‏‏ الْإِنْسَانُ هُوَ لِلْآخِرِ مِنِّي وَمِنْكَ .

Urdu Translation

مجاہد کہتے ہیں: عمری یہ ہے کہ   کوئی شخص کسی سے کہے کہ یہ چیز تمہاری ہے جب تک تم زندہ رہے، تو جب اس نے ایسا کہہ دیا تو وہ چیز اس کی ہو گئی اور اس کے مرنے کے بعد اس کے ورثاء کی ہو گی، اور رقبی یہ ہے کہ آدمی ایک چیز کسی کو دے کر کہے کہ ہم دونوں میں سے جو آخر میں زندہ رہے یہ چیز اس کی ہو گی ۱؎۔

English Translation

Mujahid said: Umra means that a man says to another man: It belongs to you so long as you live. When he says that, it belongs to him and to his heirs. Ruqba means that a man says to another: From me and from you.
