اداس نسلوں پہ اب اجارہ نہیں چلے گا
ہم اپنی دھرتی سے اپنی ہر سمت خود تلاشیں
ہماری خاطر کوئی ستارہ نہیں چلے گا
حیات اب شام غم کی تشیبہ خود بنے گی
تمہاری زلفوں کا استعارہ نہیں چلے گا
چلو سروں کا خراج نوک سناں کو بخشیں
کہ جاں بچانے کا استخارہ نہیں چلے گا
ہمارے جذبے بغاوتوں کو تراشتے ہیں
ہمارے جذبوں پہ بس تمہارا نہیں چلے گا
ازل سے قائم ہیں دونوں اپنی ضدوں پہ محسنؔ
چلے گا پانی مگر کنارہ نہیں چلے گا
