LONELY DOVE

Poet: JIBRAIEL JACKSON SHAMS By: JIBRAIEL JACKSON SHAMS, ISLAMABAD

Once I Planned To Do Some Hunt,
So I Set Out To The Forest Afoot.

Straight Away, There Came Two Dove,
I Aimed At Them, They Were Looking Above.

I Pulled The Trigger, Made The Show,
Blood Of Both, Started To Flow.

Flapping Feathers Couldn't Carry The Prey,
I Slashed Their Necks In Brutal Way.

I Sat To See, That Who Would Dare,
Soon A Lonely Dove Came Without Care.

I Aimed At Her, But Couldn't Fire,
When I Sense Of, That Alone' S Desire.

She Was All Unaccompanied As Like Me,
Such As Her Family Was Killed Like My Family.

I Remembered My Family, Which Was Killed In War,
Such As I Slaughtered Doves So Far.

I Noticed The Alone, Took Self Sinner,
'Cause I Was Her Family's Killer.

She Wanted To Live Just Like Me,
With Her Pair, Risk Free.

So I Broke My Gun, Quit Hunting,
And No More Viewed Lonely Dove Flying.
