Hospital Information Management System ( HIMS)
Hospital Information Management System (HIMS), an online electronic Medical record (EMR) system. Which was deployed by Punjab Information Technology Board in 28 DHQ/THQ hospitals of Punjab.
By this initiative all hospital work will be paperless. From patient registration to patient admission and patient discharge. Patient medical history is maintained and remained saved permanently. And is available on doctor’s computer screen. Which is very valuable for quality patient care and welfare.
It is benefiting patients, healthcare professionals and government. Patient are getting prescription with generic name of medicines that helps to decrease death rates as it is easy to read with proper instruction of usage. Patient are getting quality and cost-effective treatment.
Total patient visited from January 2019 to till date in OPD 373782.
Highest patient checked by Dr. Mariene Tariq 24,433 followed by Dr. Ayesha Nawaz 18053 from January 2019 to October 2019 Total Lab test advised 69076. Most common diseases are Acute Gastritis, Malnutrition, Tuberculosis & Acute Gastroenteritis.
HIMS is a revolutionary change in Punjab Healthcare system. It reflects the vision of our respected Prime minister, Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi and respected health minister Punjab also appreciated this positive change in our health system. We request them to take more Initiatives to install this system in remaining DHQ/THQs & Teaching Hospitals as well.
