Military commanders , Bureaucrats and Feudal lords are the ones who have power ,sway and influence. They are interconnected. They are few in number but strong in influence and clout. They have power and power attracts power .
Strongest force in Pakistan that helps to run and to maintain the country is Military. They have dominant influence. There are different fields where they are serving. First, foremost and prerequisite is defense. Besides defense we see military in all the sudden calamities. When a country is hit by a flood, earthquake or any other disaster in a country , military never went back stepped. We got our army in top 10 best armies of the world and because of our army, enemies takes their evil eyes off.
Have a long look at the different departments and institution of Pakistan where military is serving. The head of most department was or is a retired military officer.Chairman PPSC General Zafar Iqbal, Chairman FPSC Captain Zahid Saeed, Chairman PTA General Amir Azeem Bajwa, Chairman Wapda General Muzammil Hussain , Chairman HIT General Amir Raza, Chairman SUPARCO General Amir Nadeem , Chairman NDMA General Akhtar Nawaz. Adding more to the list , Rector Nust is General Javed Mehmood Bukhari , President POA is General Arif Hassan and DG PSB is col (R) Asif Zaman. From defense to sports ,we see military in every field of the country.
Bureaucracy is the backbone of the country. Bureaucrat is recruited through central superior services and serves in 12 distinct departments of Pakistan. It includes Administration, Customs ,Police, Railway, Commerce and Trade and office management.A civil servant has the power and person having power can bring a change more swift than a person without a power. They are the policy makers and decision makers . They are the ones who administers country . They control crime. They become head of different departments and organizations. They help Ministers. Without bureaucracy, it is not part possible to run country.
Feudal lords wield power . And power is power after all. Most of the politicians are feudal lord . Few big names are Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Yousaf Raza Gilani, Mustafa Khar and Asif Ali Zardari. Scratch a politician and you ll find a feudal lord . Feudal lord has good voting bank and it helps him to surpass in elections .
We talk about corruption a lot . Corruption makes a country suffer . Starting from a common man to a man in power , country has to pay for curruption. Who affects more?Yes, The ones in power.A common man does corruption, it ll not cost much, a person in power can affects bitterly and put the country in jeopardy . Embezzlement of money is corruption, taking bribe is corruption, not sincere with your duty is corruption, biasness is corruption, preference is corruption, taking wrong decisions is corruption, fighting only against the weak and not strong man is corruption . Monopoly is corruption. Using power to dominate is weak is corruption. disenfranchisement is corruption. If there is any corruption in these three elites group, country ll suffer. In a nutshell, these three strong forces can make a country and can also put a country in chaos.
