Dynastic politics

(Rubab Soomro, Jacobabad)

Dynasties have ended in the world, but in developing nations, they arise again in the different features of dynastic politics. A similar case is with our nation, which is mostly ruled by a few families. Affluent politicians live like princes, and what they possess is the distant dream of many people.

Political party leaders are like monarchs; they are irreplaceable, and solely their kiths and kin are behind for leadership. For example, the PPP leadership is only for the Zardari-Bhuttos, the PMLN leadership only belongs to the Sharif family, and the PTI also has some dynastic political families. ANP is the representative of the Wali family, and JUI-f runs according to the wishes of Molana Fazal Rehman.

Mostly get medication outside, their kids are studying abroad, and their ample properties are foreign, but they only rule in Pakistan.
Law breaking is also their cup of tea, like convicted ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif, who is roaming freely in the United Kingdom.
There is not a penny of debt on them but the nation is drowning in it.

People have to wake up against the draconian politics; struggle and demand their rights. Otherwise, further suffering will be their fortune.
