Unfortunately, it is the policy of the US to create confrontation, pave the way for war, take advantage, and sell its arms and promote its weapon industry. It has more than 400 military bases in Asia alone, it invaded Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq, supporting Israel’s heinous crimes, the worst genocide of modern history. It ignored all the international laws and values. It crushed all resolutions of the United Nations Organization (UNO), United Nations Security Council(UNSC), International Court of Justice (ICJ), International Court of Criminals(ICC), Organization of Islamic Cooperation ( OIC), and destroyed all the efforts of restoring peace in Palestine. The United States has a long and extensive history of foreign interventions, engaging in nearly 400 military operations in other countries between 1776 and 2023, half of which means 200 have occurred since 1950. These invasions were for the sake of US economic interests and territorial expansion.
In the early 1800s, the US seized Spanish territories like East and West Florida. The Mexican-American War (1846-1848) resulted in Mexico ceding half its territory to the USA. The Monroe Doctrine was declared in 1823. This doctrine aimed to resist European colonization in the Western Hemisphere, establishing the US as the dominant regional power. In the late 1800s, the US began a series of military incursions in Central America and the Caribbean to protect American business interests, such as those of the United Fruit Company. In 1893, American business interests supported by the US in the overthrow of the Hawaiian Monarch, leading to its annexation in 1898. In 1898, the US intervened in Cuba’s war for independence from Spain, eventually gaining control of Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Philippines.
Following World War II, the US adopted a policy of containment against communism, leading to numerous interventions, both overt and covert, orchestrated largely by the CIA. It adopted the policy of regime change where leaders and governments refused to bow down their heads before US dictation. It was involved in the 1953 coup in Iran, the 1954 overthrow of Guatemala’s government, the failed Bay of Pigs invasion in Cuba in 1961, and the 1973 coup that installed Augusto Pinochet’s dictatorship in Chile.
Taiwan is an integral and inseparable part of China. There is only one China, and it has been accepted by all the world’s bodies, including the United Nations Organization(UNO), contrary to the US. China believes in peace, cooperation, investment, sharing economic fruits, friendship, and create win- win situation. To stop China’s global role in creating a peaceful, multipolar, and secure world, the USA wanted to create a situation like Ukraine and Russian war. The USA is playing with fire and the supply of weapons to Taiwan is very dangerous and it is an attempt to sabotage peace in the region. .
The United States recently announced its large-scale arms sales to China’s Taiwan Region. This seriously violates the one-China principle and the three China-U.S. Joint Communiqués, interferes in China’s internal affairs, and undermines China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Pursuant to Articles 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, and 15 of the Law of the People’s Republic of China on Countering Foreign Sanctions, China hereby decides to take countermeasures against the following U.S. military-related companies and senior executives:
1.For the 20 companies listed in the attached List of Targets of Countermeasures, i.e., Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, L3Harris Maritime Services, Boeing in St. Louis, Gibbs & Cox, Inc., Advanced Acoustic Concepts, VSE Corporation, Sierra Technical Services, Inc., Red Cat Holdings, Inc., Teal Drones, Inc., Recon Craft, High Point Aero technologies, Epirus, Inc., Dedrone Holdings Inc., Area-I, Blue Force Technologies, Dive Technologies, Vantor, Intelligent Epitaxy Technology, Inc., Rhombus Power Inc., and Lazarus Enterprises Inc.: Their movable and immovable properties, and other kinds of assets within China shall be frozen; and all organizations and individuals within China shall be prohibited from engaging in transaction, cooperation and other activities with them.
2.For the ten senior executives as listed in the attached List of Targets of Countermeasures, i.e., Palmer Luckey, founder of Anduril Industries; John Cantillon, Vice President of L3Harris Technologies, Inc., Vice President and Principal Accounting Officer of L Harris Maritime Services; Michael J. Carnovale, President and Chief Executive Officer of Advanced Acoustic Concepts; John A. Cuomo, President and Chief Executive Officer of VSE Corporation; Mitch McDonald, President of Teal Drones, Inc.; Anshuman Roy, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Rhombus Power Inc.; Dan Smoot, President and Chief Executive Officer of Vantor; Aaditya Devarakonda, Chief Executive Officer of Dedrone Holdings Inc.; Ann Wood, President of High Point Aero technologies; and Jay Hoflich, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Recon Craft: Their movable and immovable properties, and other kinds of assets within China shall be frozen; all organizations and individuals within China shall be prohibited from engaging in transaction, cooperation and other activities with them; and they shall be denied visas or entry into China (including Hong Kong and Macao).
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, any company or individual engaged in arms sales to Taiwan will pay a price for wrongdoing. China has decided to take countermeasures against U.S companies and executives engaged in arming Taiwan. In response to the latest U.S. announcement of large-scale arms sales to China's Taiwan region, China has decided to take countermeasures in accordance with the Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law against twenty U.S. defense-related companies and ten senior executives who have engaged in arming Taiwan in recent years. China is very sensitive about the Taiwan issue and is not allowing any outsiders to intervene and interfere in its internal affairs. US-China relations will be affected due to American unjustified and provocative policies. The Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokeperson clairly said that
"No country or force shall ever underestimate the resolve, will and ability of the Chinese government and people to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity.". China once again urges the United States to abide by the one-China principle and the three China-U.S. joint communiques, act on the commitment of the U.S. leader, stop the dangerous moves of arming Taiwan, stop undermining peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait, and stop sending wrong signals to "Taiwan independence" separatist forces, said the spokesperson. The spokesperson further said, “ "China will continue to take resolute measures to firmly defend national sovereignty, security and territorial integrity," added the spokesperson.
China has expressed strong dissatisfaction with and firm opposition to the United States' approval of a large-scale arms sales plan to China's Taiwan region, saying the move seriously violates the one-China principle and the three China-U.S. joint communiques, gravely harms China's sovereignty and security interests, and sends a seriously wrong signal to "Taiwan independence" secessionist forces. Jiang Bin, a spokesperson for China's Ministry of National Defense, on Friday said the U.S. announcement of massive arms sales to the Taiwan region has severely undermined China-U.S. strategic mutual trust. China has lodged solemn representations with the U.S. side. The complete reunification of China is an irreversible historical trend that no force can stop, the spokesperson stressed. "Taiwan independence" secessionist forces, at the expense of the safety and well-being of Taiwan compatriots, are attempting to seek independence through military means by using the hard-earned money of ordinary people to benefit U.S. arms dealers, a path that will only lead to self-destruction, Jiang noted. China urged the US to honor its commitment of not to support "Taiwan independence" and immediately stop arms sales to Taiwan.
The Chinese People's Liberation Army will continue to strengthen combat readiness and take resolute measures to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity and firmly thwart "Taiwan independence" secessionist activities and external interference, the defense spokesperson said.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry also voiced strong opposition, saying that the large-scale U.S. arms sales to Taiwan constitute a blatant interference in China's internal affairs and severely damage peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait. China has lodged a stern protest with the U.S. at the earliest opportunity. The Chinese leadership reiterated that China's core interests brook no infringement, the Taiwan question tolerates no interference, and China's bottom line must not be crossed.
"Taiwan independence" is fundamentally incompatible with peace across the Taiwan Strait, and any attempt to arm Taiwan will face serious consequences, Guo warned. According to the Chinese notion, the real threat to peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait lies in "Taiwan independence" secessionist activities by the Lai Ching-te authorities and interference by external forces. No matter how many advanced weapons are sold to China's Taiwan region, they cannot hinder the historical trend that China will eventually and surely be reunified. Chinese leadership firmly expressed its commitment to One China policy and said, "No one or no force should underestimate the strong will and ability of the Chinese government and people to safeguard our sovereignty and territorial integrity.".
