Trump Visits China: A Ray of Hope for Global Peace I

China is the global leader of peace, development, and friendship, and its policy to promote peace, tolerance, trade, and friendship has earned a lot of respect for it and its leadership. China is now an accepted global power, and by the grace of Almighty Allah, no power on earth can afford to ignore it. It has a great say in international affairs and its role for global peace and stability is very important.
13th and 14th May 2026 were very important dates when American president Donald Trump visited China. World’s great majority want peace and end of bloodshed. For the last couple of years we have seen a lot of bloodshed around the world. Israel committed genocide of Palestinians and killed 50,000 children, 18,000 women and this genocide was condemned worldwide and declared butchery and GENOCIDE by International Court of Justice (ICJ) , International Court of Crimes (ICC), the United Nations Organization (UNO) , Organization of Islamic Cooperation ( OIC). Then, since February 28, 2026 Israel and US attacked Iran killing thousand of civilians including 177 school girls. Pakistan emerged as a mediator and promoter of peace and brought US and Iran on the table for negotiation. It is now the responsibility of the US to accept proposals of China and Pakistan and take initiative for durable peace, shake hands with China for cooperation, trade and partnership for development.
If US agrees not to promote war and accept Chinese principle position about Taiwan and to lift sanctions against Iran, then Iran might be agree to stop enrichment of uranium as it wants international guarantee because previous twice it had agreement with US but unfortunately these peace efforts were sabotaged. The Chinese leader President XI Jinping warned that disagreement over Taiwan could send relations down a dangerous path and even lead to conflict.
President Trump has been given a warm welcome on his arrival at Beijing on May 13, 2024. President Trump called XI Jinping a “ great leader” and “ Friend” and extended an invitation for him to visit Washington in September, 2026. President XI Jinping welcomed Donald Trump and said “ the two sides should be partners and not rivals”. On the occasion President Xi said“ The Taiwan question is the most important issue in China -US relations . “If mishandled, the two nations could collide or even come into conflict, pushing the entire China-US relationship into a highly perilous situation.”
With Trump’s approval ratings dented by a war with Iran that shows no signs of abating, the first visit by a US president to China in nearly a decade has taken on added significance as he searches for economic wins. President Trump has been trapped into war against Iran by Israel now he want to get face saving channel and pinned a great hope in his China visit.
Due to war and differences the share of U.S imports from China has plummeted from 25% to 7%. America desperately needs rare earths, pharmaceutical components and for this definitely there is a need to narrow down difference and to enhance trade relations. President Trump wants Chinese factories on American soil and Chinese Foreign Direct Investment (CFDI) in America.
Xi Jinping threw a grand welcome for Donald Trump on the first day of a visit that could reset ties between the rival superpowers.
The military honour guard lined up outside the Great Hall of the People to welcome Trump, complete with a gun salute and a band playing the US national anthem. The president paused twice to say hello to schoolchildren cheering with Chinese and American flags.
As he shook hands with Xi, he leaned in to pat him on the arm in what appeared to be a gesture of warmth. And he lavished praise on his host.
"You're a great leader. I say it to everybody," he declared in what appeared to be unscripted remarks. Later, on his tour of the 15th Century Temple of Heaven, he remarked to reporters that China was beautiful. At the banquet on Thursday night 14th May 2026, he called the talks a "cherished" opportunity.
It was a remarkable day given Trump built up his political brand by talking tough on China.
Trump appears to have been delighted by the welcome he received in Beijing. China put on a spectacle designed to flatter Trump ahead of any deal to prove China's door is open to guests. President Trump was accompanied by thirty Businessmen and CEO's.
I have so far produced 125 articles on China, and this is my 126th article, and I have predicted much before that CHINA IS THE FUTURE OF THE WORLD, and this is also the topic of my book. Now everyone in the world can see and feel that CHINA IS THE FUTURE OF THE WORLD and is THE CAPITAL OF THE WORLD. The world depends on it, world can not ignore it. Global economic stability, peace and development road passes through from China and any country who wants to move towards the stability, development and peace it needs definitely to shake hands with China, make friendship with it and get its cooperation. Given the size of China's economy, a number of world leaders, including those from US allies such as Canada, the UK and Germany, have turned up, eager to do a deal with China.
China's trade with the rest of the world has expanded since Trump's first term as it braced for exactly what he warned of: more tariffs.
Last year, it flexed its economic and diplomatic muscle, responding to Trump with tit-for-tat tariffs and restricting the export of rare earth minerals essential for advanced manufacturing. The U.S came to the table and tariffs were lowered.
Xi will believe he has shown the US and the world just how dependent they are on Chinese manufacturing and technology. China now makes a third of the world's goods, processes more than 90% of its rare earth minerals and produces around 60 to 80% of all solar panels, wind turbines and electric vehicles. Some would see this as a sign that the balance of power is shifting in China's direction.
China will surely feel it has the upper hand in these talks as Xi faces a Trump weakened by the war on Iran. The blocked Strait of Hormuz has rattled the global economy and Trump is expected to seek Beijing's help to open up the shipping corridor.
China and Iran have a relationship dating back decades and China is Iran's biggest trading partner. If Xi helps nudge Iran towards the negotiating table, it may give him even more leverage.
Xi has already warned Trump during their talks that the issue of Taiwan could bring the two countries into conflict.
He could pressure the US to delay or stop arms sales to Taiwan, officials in Taipei will be watching this summit nervously.
It appears the focus is on the business delegation, which included Elon Musk, Tim Cook and chipmaker NVIDIA's boss Jensen Huang. They were all present at the banquet as well. Trump will want this delegation to take centre-stage as he calls for China to open its doors to more US firms.
On Iran, it added that "both countries agreed that Iran can never have a nuclear weapon" and "the Strait of Hormuz must remain open to support the free flow of energy".
Xi has said that the two sides should expand exchanges and co-operation in areas such as trade and agriculture - a signal perhaps that China is ready to buy more American soybeans, beef and Boeing aircraft.The two leaders have also agreed to frame their relationship as "constructive, strategic and stable" in a new positioning that will guide ties for the next three years.
President Donald Trump told Fox News that China has agreed to buy 200 Boeing Jet more than the 150 aircraft Boeing had expected. Analysts had expected a large Boeing aircraft order to come out of Trump’s visit to China, with Jefferies estimating the order could reach 500 aircraft. Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg and other top executives from U.S. companies joined Trump on the trip. The manufacturer hasn’t won a major order from China in almost a decade, but the country has been buying from Boeing’s main rival, Airbus.
Trump is keen to elicit Chinese support to end a war that has become an electoral liability as it drags on towards key U.S. midterm elections in November. In an interview with CNBC from Beijing, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said he believed China would "do what they can" to help open the strait, something "very much in their interest."
