A Rich Tribute to H.E Yang Yundong, Consul General

Pakistan-China friendship is greater than the Himalayas, deeper than the oceans, and sweeter than honey. This friendship is deep-rooted, historical, time-tested, and all-weather. One can find the fragrance of this friendship in poetry and melodious songs. Stories, articles, books, and, of course, in the hearts and minds of people of both countries.
A person who has dedicated all his tenure to the promotion of Pakistan-China friendship, with great enthusiasm, commitment, and sincerity, a person who is very close to the hearts of the people of Karachi, he is none other than His Excellency Mr. Yang Yundong, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Karachi. He is so kind, soft-spoken, and always has a beautiful smile on his face. He knows the art of heart-winning, and he has conquered the hearts of thousands of people.
He connected people of various walks of life with the consulate. A very long list of people, including journalists, business people, entrepreneurs, diplomats, students, vice chancellors, intellectuals, writers, all those who once visited the consulate, became fans of His Excellency Mr. Yang Yundong.
During his tenure, many journalists, Business people, intellectual visited China. Mr. Jawed Ahmed Malik, Chief Editor and CEO of The News Lark, visited China in 2023, and after coming back, The News Lark brought a brilliant special edition on China, which was a unique one and received acclaim from everyone who saw this edition and described it as a unique and excellent one.
In September 2024, I visited China with the members of the Baluchistan Think Tank Network ( BTTN). We visited Beijing and Shanghai, where we visited Shanghai University, Beijing University, the International Institute of Business and Economics, Administrative Institute. It was a historical visit, and I still have sweet memories of this visit.
Last year, I completed 100 articles on China, and on this historic occasion, an event was organized by the Chinese Consulate, and besides me, my whole family, Mr. Jawed Malik, and his whole family participated in it. On this occasion, His Excellency Mr. Yang Yundong paid a rich tribute to my services and appreciated my contribution, and described it as a historic one. I also received an award and a certificate of appreciation from him. Mr. Jawed Malik also received a certificate of appreciation from him.
Our Chief Editor, Mr. Jawed Malik, is a big fan of His Excellency, and he always praises the services he rendered for the promotion of Pakistan and China. His Excellency Yang Yundong is a friend and well-wisher of Pakistan, and he will always be remembered by the people of Karachi.
It is saddening that after completing his tenure, he is going back to China. He is going out of our sight but will always be in our hearts.
Mr. Yang Yundong served as Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Karachi since April 2023. He made a new history in cementing Pakistan-China friendship. We all pay him a very rich tribute. THANK YOU, HIS EXCELLENCY, WE WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER YOU.

Has given the world a New Trend
To Welcome Peace and Development
To say goodbye to war Violence, “The End”
President Xi Jinping is Intelligent and Creative
First, given the Belt and Road Initiative
Now to bring closer the world’s peace lovers
He has introduced the Global Governance Initiative
Let us start a new era of peace and love
Keep this agenda from anything above

Mr. Yang Yundong friendly, kind, and great man
Sincere, patriotic, hospitable, and sane
You will see a beautiful smile on his face
He will greet you warmly, which is his style
You will always see him busy and in actions
He has a keen desire to enhance Pak-China relations
You will never forget the time you spent with him
And will always feel that he is your close friend
We all pay him rich tributes
No doubt he possesses great attributes
A very pleasant personality, handsome, and smart
For him, we have great respect in our minds and hearts
