It is the founding and sole ruling party of China. It was established on July 1, 1921. China, its worthy leadership, and the people of China are celebrating the 105th anniversary of its foundation. It is the world’s largest political party with a membership base of more than 101 million. It is also the most organized party, with a cadre of well-trained, highly disciplined, and ideologically committed members. The Communist Party of China’s foundation was based on Marxism-Leninism, adapted into Chinese conditions as Mao Zedong Thought, which is called,” Maoism) and socialism with Chinese characteristics. His Excellency XI Jinping serves as the General Secretary. The party exercises supreme authority through a National Congress every five years, which elects the Central Committee. The Central Committee then elects the Politburo and its Standing Committee, which hold the highest level of leadership in China. The Chinese Communist Party maintains absolute authority over the state, the legal system, and the military People’s Liberation Army (PLA) through the principles of democratic centralism. Co-founded by early Marxists like Chen Duxiu and Li Dazhao, the party was initially supported by the Communist International. It emerged victorious in a lengthy civil war against the Nationalist Party ( Kuomintang), CCP forces under the dynamic leadership of Mao Zedong emerged victorious, leading to the establishment of the People’s Republic of China on October 1, 1949. The party focuses heavily on technological innovation, self-reliance, and national security. This day, 1st July, is very important for the Chinese, and a gathering in celebration of the 105th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) started at the Great Hall of the People on Wednesday, 1st July 2026 in central Beijing. Representatives of outstanding Party members, Party workers, and primary-level Party organizations from across the country enthusiastically celebrated of the 105th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of China (CPC).. In 1941, the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party officially set the celebration date as 1st July of each year. After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the anniversary became a national holiday. Every year on 1st July, the Communist Party of China ( CCP) organizes programmes at all levels to carry out party member education and commemorative activities. In some special years such as the 50th, 70th, 80th, 90th and 100th anniversaries, the Communist Party of China Central Committee held a commemorative meeting around July 1, and the CCP General Secretary delivers a speech. The spirit of his speech is about the learning content of party member education. The Chinese Communist Party was founded with the help of the Communist International. In its early years, it accepted the leadership of the Third International. Therefore, in addition to keeping a copy of the original archives of its 1st National Congress, the CCP also submitted a copy to the Communist International for the record. The original archives kept by the party were lost during the Chinese Civil War, while the original archives kept by the Communist International were preserved in the Soviet Union. In January 1957, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union handed over three documents on the 1st National Congress kept by the Communist International to the CCP Central Committee. The documents detailed the specific circumstances of the convening of the 1st National Congress, the program and resolutions adopted at the meeting, and clearly recorded that the opening date of the 1st National Congress was July 23. In 1960, the Columbia University Libraries in the United States published a graduation thesis submitted by Chen Gongbo, a representative of the 1st National Congress in January 1924, confirming that the documents returned by the Communist Party of the Soviet Union were correct. On July 1, 1981, the post office issued the J64 stamp "60th Anniversary of the Founding of the Chinese Communist Party", a complete set of 1 stamp. On June 18, 1991, the People's Bank of China issued a set of three commemorative coins for the party's 70th anniversary. In 2001, a series of activities to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Party were held across China. On June 16, 2011, the People's Bank of China issued ordinary commemorative coins to mark the party's 90th anniversary. In 2021, various celebrations were held to mark the 100th Anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party, including party history education, the awarding of the July 1st Medal, a conference, and a theatrical performance of The Great Journey. Slogans included "Comprehensively grasp the great struggle, the great project, the great cause, and the great dream!" and "Struggle for a hundred years and embark on a new journey". Chen Duxiu (1879–1942) was a prominent revolutionary socialist, educator, and philosopher who played a pivotal role in the May Fourth Movement and was a co-founder of the Communist Party of China. He served as the Party's first General Secretary from 1921 to 1922 and again from 1925 to 1927. His intellectual contributions were crucial in introducing Marxist thought to China and shaping the early direction of the Party. President Xi Jinping’s assumption as the Communist Party of China (CCP) in 2012 marked the beginning of a new era for the party. His tenure has been defined by increased centralization of power, an extensive anti -corruption campaign, transparency, and a vision for China’s role on the world stage. Xi Jinping’s proclamation of a new era for socialism with Chinese characteristics at the 19th Party Congress in 2017 outlined China’s goals to become a global leader by mid-century. Domestically. Xi Jinping has consolidated the Communist Party of China's power over political, legal, and social institutions and emphasized China’s ongoing rejuvenation and development. ‘Internationally, Xi Jinping has attempted to increase China’s influence both economically and through more assertive geopolitical posturing. Under his dynamic and able leadership, China has promoted its Belt and Road Initiative to foster joint trade, infrastructure, and development projects throughout Asia, Europe, Africa, and Latin America; simultaneously, it has insisted upon its territorial claims over all of the South China Sea. The CCP’s National Party Congress meets with some two thousand or more delegates in Plenary session to elect a Central Committee of about two hundred full members, which in turn meets at least once in a year. The Central Committee elects a Political Bureau or Politburo of about twenty to twenty-five full members; that body is the ruling leadership of the CCP. The Political Bureau’s Standing Committee of about six to nine of its most authoritative members is the highest echelon of leadership in the CCP and in the country as a whole. In practice, power flows from the top down in the CCP. The Communist Party of China’s secretariat is responsible for the day-to-day administrative affairs of the CCP. The general secretary of the secretariat is formally the highest-ranking official of the party. The CCP has a commission for detecting and punishing abuse of office by party members, and it also has a commission by which it retains control over China’s armed forces. The CCP has basic-level party organizations in cities, towns, villages, neighbourhoods, major workplaces, schools, etc. People’s Daily is its main newspaper. The Communist Party of China is the vanguard if the Chinese working class, the Chinese people, and the Chinese nation. It is the leadership core for the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics and represents the development demands of China’s advanced productive forces, the orientation for China’s advanced culture, and the fundamental interests of the greatest possible majority of the Chinese people. The party’s highest ideal and ultimate goal is the realization of communism. The Communist Party of China uses Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong thought, Deng Xiaoping theory, the Theory of Three Represents the scientific outlook on Development, and Xi Jinping thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for the New Era as it guides action. Marxism-Leninism reveals the laws governing the development of the history of human society. Its basic tenets are correct and have tremendous vitality. The highest ideal of communism pursued by Chinese Communists can be realized only when socialist society is fully developed and highly advanced. The development and improvement of the socialist system is a long historical process. By upholding the basic tenets of Marxism-Leninism and following the path suited to China’s specific conditions as chosen by the Chinese people, China’s socialist cause will ultimately be victorious. With Comrade Mao Zedong as their chief representative, Chinese Communists developed Mao Zedong Thought by combining the basic tenets of Marxism-Leninism with the actual practice of the Chinese revolution.
