SLAP TO WHOM?

I don’t have words to regret the act of Syeda Waheeda Shah in by-election in PS-53 Tando Muhammad Khan, on 25th February 2012. Everybody was shocked by the brutal act of lady contesting. The contemptible act was among the initial attention getters of 2012 in Pakistan.

If the analysts will consider on this event they will certainly find out that it was not a slap to Poor School Teachers who were appointed as presiding officers but instead it was a slap to the destiny of those people living in the territory of such ruthless people. It was not a slap of Waheeda Shah instead it was a slap of thinking of some feudalists and people belonging to the same category who get their selves elected by any means possible. In other words, act of slap does the good representation of the thinking of most of those MPAs/MNAs who are present in the Parliament and assemblies. If this is not so then, how many MPAs/MNAs regret the event? Yes, there were some who regretted it but how many of those were not Hippocratic?

It was better for PPP to disown the act of Waheeda Shah and regret the event because it has unfortunately brought a plus to the negative side of it. It was good opportunity for them to make better their shape by separating out the Black sheep.

Thanks to Media which showed the original picture of the people going in assemblies. But, the responsibility of media does not end over here it has yet to be established. It has yet to work to be unbiased. It should also show the other segments of country where use of gunpoint, coercion and other different types of threats are made in such occasions.

The role of ECP and CJP is also commendable. Because, CJP took the sou moto action which helped out to highlight effectively the worst act of woman. ECP also done a good job, as Waheeda Shah has since been slapped back by being disqualified for two years by the Election Commission of Pakistan. This is good example for evils.

Sometimes, I wonder that how bravely Syeda Waheeda Shah committed the act. Well whatsoever, Nature presented the Waheeda Shah as an example and warned those forces who have been cruel to his creature that be sensible before you are caught red handed and will be running saving face.
