IT IS PAKISTAN’S MORAL AND
LEGAL OBLIGATION TO LIBERATE KASHMIR FROM THE IRON FIST OF INDIAN OPPRESSION:

Election is not a replacement for referendum or plebiscite as is exemplified in
the cases of Junagarr, Hyderabad, the Sikh Homeland Punjab (Khalistan) and the
42,000 square miles of the state of Jammu and Kashmir AKA Internationally
Disputed Areas of Jammu and Kashmir by the UNO. All of the aforementioned
territories had been occupied by the Indian army and thereafter it massacred
over 500,000 Muslims in Hyderabad and Junagarr, more than 270,000 innocent
Sikhs, and more than 200,000 in the IDA: JK in the last six decades as per
figures maintained by various human rights groups as well as the Human Rights
Wing of the United Nations. These massacres were all attempts to suppress the
fight for freedom.
Mr. Somanahalli Mallaiah Krishna, Indian External Affairs Minister addressed the
UN General Assembly referring to President Asif Ali Zardari's remarks at the
world forum last week stressed that, “Our principled position on the issue has
been consistent and is well known,” he said asserting: “The people of Jammu and
Kashmir have chosen and reaffirmed their destiny repeatedly through India’s well
established democratic processes.”He further reiterated that “We wish to make it
abundantly clear that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India.”The
President of Pakistan Mr. Asif Ali Zardari had said in his address to the UN
General Assembly last week that the Kashmir issue was a "symbol of the failures,
rather than strengths of the UN system" and a resolution could only be reached
in an "environment of cooperation". We endorse the statement of Mr. Mohammad
Yousuf Naqash, Senior All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader from Kursu Rajbagh
Srinagar, of IDA: JK who strongly rejected and condemned the claim of the Indian
External Affairs Minister that “Kashmir is an integral part of India.” Mr.
Krishna is blind to real on the ground realities when he states "We have a
vision of a peaceful, stable and prosperous region with enhanced cooperation and
connectivity linking us with Central Asia, the Gulf and South-East Asia." He has
conveniently forgotten that territories such as Junagarr, Hyderabad, Sikh
Homeland Punjab (Khalistan) and IDA: JK were forcibly and illegally occupied by
force and merged into India. It is nothing short of injustice to accept these
claims of “peaceful coexistence” and ignore India’s interference in its
peripheral neighbors such as Nepal, Sikkim, Bhutan, Bangladesh, and Maldives.
India has also attempted to promote its influence in Afghanistan apathetic to
the destabilizing effect in the region all for self constricted goals such as
creating a wedge between Afghanistan and Pakistan impartial to the wide spread
negative social impacts of its actions.
We the Kashmiris are still waiting to see the promises made by Pandit Jawaharlal
Nehru that ‘Kashmiris are not a commodity on sale’ and his promise that the
‘fate of Kashmir will be decided by the people of Kashmir’ which has yet to be
translated into any progressive action. Kashmir Diaspora Alliance demands that
India and its External Affairs minister must take all its forces and civil
population out from the illegally occupied territories and hand over the reins
to the United Nations to dignify its outlandish given its track record that it
is the largest democratic country in the world. If it is legitimate for the
United States to liberate Libyans and Iraqis in order to save them from their
ruthless ruler, Pakistan being a country apart of the same system of sovereign
nations and a member of United Nations has the same legal and moral duty to

Senior Hurriyat member and chief patron Islamic political party (JK) Mr.Mohammad
Yousuf Naqash has strongly rejected and condemned the claim of the Indian
foreign minister that Kashmir is the integral part of India and Kashmiri people
have reaffirmed their destiny repeatedly byIndian democratic process. Mr. Naqash
said such claim on the part of India is false and deceptive propaganda. Kashmir
was never ever thepart of India and never wants to be so. India has forcibly
occupied this territory through its about one million forces of different tag
names and oppressing natives to continue this illegal and forced occupation
because the Kashmiri people are perpetually struggling and sacrificing men and
material for freedom from this forced occupation and oppression of India. They
have resolved to continue their struggle in spite of Indian oppression till the
realization of freedom. Mr.Naqash further said that all the elections for
forming the local puppet administrations were fraudulently conducted by India.
Even if such puppet governments were formed through the fraudulent elections,
these have no legality and authority to decide the politico-territorial future
of Kashmir given the 24th January 1957 security council resolution, which has
placed Kashmir on the list of non-self governing status, declaring that the
decisions of the state constituent assembly cannot change the status of Kashmir
dispute.
