Importance of International Relations

(Fawad Ahmed, Lahore)

It has been agreed that man is social animal and it cannot live without company. So, how’s possible that a country persists without having good relation with other countries. Each country is inter-dependent on due to economic matters, trading activity and foreign citizens either studying visiting and working in other countries. The ground of international relations has become more germane. The world becomes global village via communication devices, air transportation. A very complex international economy, corporate structures of counties and the value of cooperative relationships between nations is increasingly important.

Due to importance of international affairs, study of international relations has greatly increased by the students and researchers of this field. This type of research gives the researcher an opportunity to know about the motivation of the states in world affairs which sets the criteria of their success or failure.

Positive international relations promote effective trading policies in terms of both raw material and finished goods as well and also define the requirements and limitations of cross-border trade. Countries face global issues like earthquake, pandemics and terrorist activity etc. These disasters are usually beyond the resources and capacity of a single country, so in this case level of international cooperation depends on the solidarity relationship with other countries. Countries can share their resources in order to become more powerful in terms of peace & harmony and civil defense as well.
