Chairman Pakistan Tehreek -e-
Insaaf, Imran Khan 18 years ago said about the weakness of his political party
that “my party is just born today and after 18 years (when it will become adult)
it will stand in the line of PPP and PMLN."
He ( Imran Khan ) faced too many difficulties and hardships for empowering his
political party. In 1997 He contested from Dera Ismail Khan and lost but he did
not gave up and contested again in 2002 Elections from Mianwali and this time he
elected as a Member of National Assembly first time.
In 2008 Jamat -e- Islami and Pakistan Tehreek -e- Insaaf are the two renowned
political parties boycotted the General Elections and at that time PTI was not
so powerful as compared to PPP and PMLN.
From 2008 to the mid of 2011 PTI was almost absent from the active politics.
But on 30th October 2011 at Minaar -e- Pakistan Lahore PTI hold one of the
largest political gathering and so many people joined the party and I am one of
them at the age of 17 yrs and 10 months who joined PTI at that time.
The journey of the political empowerment started and the PTI decided to contest
in 2013 General Elections.
Several Survey Reports told us that PTI should form the Federal Government
because a huge number of people followed PTI's slogan of "Change" (Change the
Corrupt system and Status Quo), but all the hope of changing the corrupt system
once engraved after the results of elections as PTI only managed to get 30+
seats in the National Assembly of 272 seats (excluding Reserve seats for women
and minorities).
Although PTI somehow managed to form a Government with JI in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
(the worst governed province by last Government) .
But PTI became the third largest political party by seats in National Assembly
and 2nd largest party by votes (7.6 Million votes)
Massive rigging in Elections was reported by all the stake holders including
PMLN, PPP, and PTI.
PTI started its role of true opposition as compared to the friendly opposition
of PPP.
PTI knocked every legal door to solve the case of rigged elections but it failed
to get the results.
After 14 months of the formation of the Governments PTI decided to present its
case to the State by street power.
On 14th August 2014 Long March from Lahore started with Pakistan Awami Tehreek
led by Dr. Tahir ul Qadri and reached Islamabad on the night of 15th August and
then the leadership of both parties decided of sit-ins in Red Zone of the
Capital.
Atomic Scientist and one of the famous personalities of Pakistan Dr Abdul Qadeer
Khan also supported the sit-ins of PTI and PAT through his tweets and blogs.
After 1 month of sit-ins, PTI decided to protest in big cities of Pakistan and
on 21st September Karachi was the places where PTI hold its Jalsa and as a
result of Imran Khan's struggle a massive crowd was seen at Quaid's Tomb which
was consider the biggest political gathering in the history of Karachi by
independent sources. (Karachi 4 PTI) .
After the successful Jalsa of Karachi, on 28th September Imran Khan decided to
step towards the heart of Punjab "Lahore" in which PMLN has the strong hold from
last 29 years.
Despite of PMLN's strong hold, a huge number of masses mobilized in Lahore and
again a magnificent crowd was waiting for Khan. Khan praised the Lahoris many
times during his speech and again the independent sources reported that the
crowd was in millions not in thousands (Lahore 4 PTI ).
Then Khan turned to his home ground Mianwali and the most important thing was
the local PTI workers had only 3 days for the arrangements and they did an
excellent job. Only 35,000 chairs were placed in stadium but the turned out was
awesome.
Critics also gave compliments to PTI on historical and successful Jalsa in
Mianwali on 3 day notice.
Khawaja Asif from PMLN stated that the Mianwali Jalsa surely a huge one in the
history of Mianwali.
Khan was very happy to see the crowd and in his 30 minutes speech he praised
Mianwali more than 6 times. ( Mianwali 4 PTI )
This stream of huge and historical Jalsas is going to Multan now and on 10th of
October I hope there should be "Multan 4 PTI ".
