I am a Pakistani. I know that
the MUMLAKAT - I - KHUDA DAD PAKISTAN, later termed as ISLAMI JAMHURIA PAKISTAN,
was bestowed to the Muslims of the Sub Continent after lot of sacrifices (the
biggest migration in history - 2,00,00, 000 human being to leave their homes,
50,00,000 Muslims gave their lives, 63,000 Muslim women / young girls snatched
by non Muslims and the others suffered a lot). Very soon we forgot our
commitment to Allah about running the country/system according to the Dictates
of Islam. We all are responsible for the same. But the irony is that we do not
admit our fault.
It may be a bitter pill for the Pakistani Media to swallow. Almost all the
Owners, CEOs, those at the helm of affairs, the Anchor persons the News readers
and Incharge of various programmes are Muslims and so were / are their parents.
But it is really a matter of great sorrow that every channel, with the exception
of a few, wants to be the Torch Bearer in the spread of Vulgarity (On 24
November, I saw a Vulgar, shameless AD (In Urdu) immediately above the "REVIEW
AND COMMENTS" on 24C.
I wonder and fear if some kid of 6-10 years of age, sitting with his/her mother
or father asks to make him/her understand the meaning of the Ad, we will be
ashamed of ourselves and our Media, PEMRA, Ministry of Information, the Channel,
the Hamari Web (who have all these channels and many others. I think moral
codes, ethics, our Ideology, Islam and our customs do not allow display of such
ADS!! To my great surprise the same AD could be seen at other places as well).
Moreover Modernism, Liberalism, Violation of set moral codes, promotion of Anti
Islam / Ideology of Pakistan Feelings, through Fashion Shows (even being
arranged in Colleges on one pretext or the other), Commercial Ads, Sports
Competitions / coverage, and Dresses of Female News Readers/Anchors etc all are
meant to weaken us morally.
The politicians are mostly immature, corrupt, tax evaders, selfish, short
sighted, addicted to lust of authority/accumulation of wealth, protectors of
anti social elements, busy in mud slinging, They can discuss, argue, deliver
speeches and moral sermons on every topic less Islam. They are dreadful of this
Code of Life because it imposes certain restrictions on them and makes them
accountable to the State/masses for their deeds. I would like to remind all that
this Beloved Country was bestowed to us by Allah Almighty in the name of Islam -
The Code of Life spelled out in the Qura'n to be followed in every sphere of
life.
Allah the most merciful, through warnings, some time in quick succession, in the
form of Natural Calamities and other grave problems like Earth quakes, Floods,
Drought, Dengue, Fires, Target killings, Murders, Terrorist Attacks, Atmosphere
of Fear, rampant corruption, increased street crimes, deteriorating performance
in every walk of life, has desired that we mend our ways and fulfill our
Commitment made on Creation of Pakistan!! But we have closed our eyes - the
Judiciary, the Government Functionaries, the PEMRA, the Ministry dealing with
Education, the Media, the Politicians, the Law Givers, the Conscientious
Muslims, the Religious Stalwarts, all are sleeping, and even then we claim that
"HUM ZINDA QAUM HAIN." Where are we heading for and why?
In today's world a survey of "People below Poverty Line" will show the Muslims
No. 1 on the Victory stand. If you count the Displaced persons on our globe, the
Muslims are leading and a “Survey of Disabled Persons due to War Action” will
show Muslims occupying First position on the Victory stand. All this has brought
a vicious circle of horrible problems with no end in the foreseeable future. And
now Paris Terrorism - Muslims will be target, how many and for how long, nobody
knows!!
The present situation is very precarious; our present and future generations are
in danger. Can we, as Ummah, afford its continuity for a long time? The Think
tank consisting of Conscientious Media persons, Jurists, Retired Generals,
Educationists and Clergy should be formed to deliberate: how the Muslim Ummah
can be taken out of the present onslaught. This is need of the time, only
because the Anti Islam forces are in a great hurry!!
