I have read a beautiful
critique (The Nation 13 /11/2015) by Akif Khan on "I Am Not Malala I Am Muslim I
Am Pakistani.” He quoted a few of the heroes (Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, Baghat Singh,
Bacha Khan, Dr. Abdus Salam, Faiz Ahmad Faiz) from our history, and complained
that our behavior with them had been shameful, was not only ridiculous but also
manifested an ignorant and paranoid attitude disillusioned by state sponsored
history taught in schools. He applauded the services of Malala Yousafzai and her
father. By asking certain designed questions to which every Muslim would answer
in the affirmative, Akif Khan, quite intelligently tried to prove that Malala is
a blessing to our nation and anyone trying to defame her, in fact, is working
against Pakistan’s interests. The admiration she received from all over the
world is of great value for Pakistanis! The critic has remarked that as a nation
“We have buried our heads in sand, the fact and reality is in front of us, if we
want to accept it.”
I wish Atif Khan could utilize his potential in the service of Islam and
Pakistan. It appears that he, despite his ability of analyzing personalities and
their services, miserably failed to comprehend the thoughts held by his above
mentioned heroes. Leaving Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, a few words about his hand-picked
heroes: Baghat Kabir being a non-Muslim cannot be hero of any Muslim (We have no
dearth of Pakistanis; Bacha Khan also known as Sarhadi Ghandhi, wanted to join
India despite knowing the fact that NWFP was a Muslim majority area and away
from Bharat. Once failed miserably in Referendum, he crafted another mischief:
Pakhtoonistan – an illogical stunt patronized by Congress and Afghanistan only
to destabilize Pakistan in her infancy. He started looking towards Bharat and
the then USSR for creating problems for the country he was living in!! This
practice continued till his death. Probably it was his Wasiyyat that he was
buried in Jalalabad. His son Wali Khan, a staunch supporter of Red Revolution of
Communist USSR, during her invasion of Afghanistan, said: “We will take the
Border from Torkham to Attock Bridge (Indus River).” Till today his ANP is
strongly against Kala Bagh Dam – a project which can fetch benefits out of
proportion to the poor Pakistanis; Faiz Ahmad Faiz, a poet, a confirmed
Communist who wanted that the whole nation should go Communist. He worked for
the same. Should the country lose sight of its Ideology which served as basis of
its very creation? Dr. Abdus Salam the Noble Prize winner was a staunch Qadiani.
Late Sahibzada Yaqub Ali Khan, the then Foreign Minister, during his official
visit to USA, was totally surprised to see Dr. A Salam in CIA office - a True
Pakistani had no business to be there!! Thus a big question to his loyalty
towards Pakistan!!
A few words about Zia ud Din, Malala’s father. He is son of a school teacher, an
Imam Masjid and a renowned Khateeb of Mangora. Seeing that his son, during
college days was detracted and had joined a Political Party (legacy of Bacha
Khan) with secular ideology, and that Zia did his best to stop an Anti Ghamadi
rally in college, he expelled him from his house. Zia did not mend his ways.
Rather he became an active student leader of the Party and vocal in his
speeches. He would talk in favour of Bhuttoism and was against Gen Zia, Jihad
and his support to Mujahideen striving to expel USSR, the aggressor from
Afghanistan. He opened a School and within a short span of time it had a few
branches as well. He groomed his daughter accordingly. He, against her wishes
(to become a doctor), convinced her to become a politician as this would bring
glory and other benefits. The greedy Zia ud Din, only in the pursuit of money
and fame made best use of his daughter much before her adolescence.
Malala, through her speeches at school, seminars and in radio programs, was in
fact spreading his father’s ideas. She was critical of religious sentiments, the
clergy, the Finality of Prophet-hood of Muhammad (Peace be upon him), prevailing
customs, the Armed Forces, Ideology of Pakistan and political unrest in Swat.
This created alarm at local level. In the mean time because of her father’s
efforts, she was picked up by BBC for her Blogs (written under instructions and
guidance of BBC Peshawar Correspondent). Malala became more vocal in her
expression – Liberty of Speech! This served Zia’s purpose. He was happy. The
Documentary on Malala (prepared by Adam B Aleck, New York Times Correspondent
for Pakistan) and her book “I Am Malala” (written by Cristina Lamb, a renowned
writer who had authored 5 books, and won many awards. She had also won five
times the Britain’s National Award for Foreign Correspondence. Malala was a
co-author in her book – an effort whereby Malala’ could be recognized as an
author in her very young age!!) brought fame to Malala and her father. During a
short span of time she met Richard Hal Brook, President Obama’s Special
Representative for Pakistan - Afghanistan Affairs and asked him for intervention
in Swat affairs – approach of a true Pakistani !!
Malala, while returning home from school, was hit above the left eye-brow (the
bullet travelling beneath the skin, without hurting the skull, went out). She
could be treated in Pakistan but then the drama could not have reached the
preset Climax. The Noble Award for Peace, meetings with heads of
States/governments, dignitaries of international fame, and showering of many
awards (including Honorary Degree of Ph. D) and speeches/conferences at
international forums were organized with some definite purpose. Atif Khan says:
“The admiration she received from all over the world is of great value for
Pakistanis” What a tribute!!
Malala is being groomed as future Prime Minister of Pakistan for which necessary
propaganda machinery has been geared up, brain washing process is already in
full swing and even Malala, in her dreams has seen herself Prime Minister of
Pakistan. If she occupies the desired position the West will get reward for the
investment made on her and her father – a liberal, secular Pakistan where gay
marriages, lesbianism will be legalized, the Constitutional Amendment declaring
Qadiyanis as Non Muslims, will be finished. Atif Khan remarked that as a nation
“We have buried our heads in sand, the fact and reality is in front of us, if we
want to accept it.” I request him to ponder over his statement and see whether
his remarks apply on him or some other Pakistani?
A few more words to ponder over: During last 36 years or so I have seen some
Muslim countries cut to size, majority of them bleeding mostly at the hands of
Non-Muslims or due to their puppet governments toeing policies of their foreign
Masters. On the other hand Muslims in Palestine, Kashmir, Myanmar, Philippine,
Chechnya are passing through endless suffering of all types. The Muslims in war
wrecked countries like Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria are suffering to the limit and
their condition in turmoil hit countries like Egypt, Libya, Yemen, Algeria,
Niger, and Mali is pathetic. Muslims in Bharat are also under constant threat of
annihilation. A big question – “who is responsible for colossal loss of life,
property and infra structure of the Muslims?”
During past 40 years nearly 8 million Muslims have lost their lives due to
military actions by non-Muslims in various countries. There is hardly any weapon
which has not been tried on Muslims hutments, madaras, marriage gatherings and
commercial areas. Daisy cutters, cruise missiles, gun ship helicopters, drones ,
B-52 bombers, latest tanks, artillery pieces, and all sorts of guns, rifles have
been also used against Muslims on one pretax or the other.
Thousands of Malalas were wounded, laid to rest without being properly
medicated. None came forward to let go Blogs on international media, no
Documentary was aired, and No book by some experienced author like Cristina Lamb
was written and given wide publicity.
A few years ago, according to UN report, there were 12.25 m refugees in the
world out of which 4.7 m were Iraqis. A fresh survey, if carried out, will show
the Muslims standing First on the Victory Stand! Similarly in today's world a
survey of "People below Poverty Line" will show the Muslims leading all the
nations! Moreover if you count the “Killed/Wounded/Disabled persons due to War
action / Terrorist Hunt Campaigns” the Muslims will again be ahead of other
communities of the world!! All this has brought a vicious circle of unending
miseries and innumerable socio-economic problems of severe gravity with no stop
in the foreseeable future.
And now Paris Terrorism – Muslims, in the civilized WEST, will be targeted. They
will pass through an atmosphere of mocking, fear, mistrust, suspicion, arrests,
interrogation, jail sentences and deportations. May be they suffer from many
psychological disorders. The West will intensify her actions whereby the Muslim
in Iraq, Syria, Kashmir, Palestine, Afghanistan, Libya, Myanmar, Chechenia,
Yamen, Bharat and other parts of the world. They will suffer more than the past:
for how long, and of what gravity - nobody knows!!
The present situation is certainly very precarious: our present and future
generations are in danger. Can we as Muslim Ummah afford its continuity for a
long time? The Think tanks consisting of Jurists, Educationists, Clergy, Experts
in various fields, Conscientious Media persons, should be formed to deliberate:
how the Muslim Ummah can be taken out of the present onslaught. However, such
Think Tanks should not have politicians, the government functionaries and the
Rulers, otherwise the result is obvious!! Any further delay on our part will
cause colossal loss to UMMAH because our opponents are in great hurry!!
