The Pakistan Muslim League (N)
is rejoicing over Narendra Moodi’s visit to Pakistan. Moodi had some definite
aim and wanted an immediate assurance from PM Nawaz Sharif about a safe and
immediate trade route (which can accrue unimaginable benefits to Indian economy)
through Pakistan. He knows that Nawaz Sharif is fully inclined towards Moodi and
can go up to any limit to fulfill his desire. Moodi wanted to make best use of
the opportunity (Nawaz’s birth day and his niece’s marriage). PM Nawaz is
overjoyed that Moodi graced the occasion. I wish if the short sighted Media
persons and ruling Party politicians can understand the implications of this
short excursion trip to Jati Umra. Who is the loser and who has benefitted out
of this visit? Answers to these questions will decide: 1.Was it an official
visit? If so where should he stay – Governor House, State Guest House or PM’s
private house? 2. Did he hold any official talk, if so who all were present;
Sartaj Aziz, Adviser on National Security, Finance Minister or any other
official from important ministries? 3. Did Moodi, in his talks, made a mention
of Kashmir (Jugular Vein of Pakistan. under cruel Indian rule since 1948), 4.
Was “Water Aggression’ by India in the form of construction of various dams and
diversion projects on rivers and streams flowing into Pakistan from Kashmir,
came under discussion?. 5. Did Moodi talk of pulling out of Indian forces from
Siachen? 6. Did he the presence of over three dozen Indian Councils in
Afghanistan? 7. Was the Sir Creak issue discussed with him? 8. Was the burning
of “Samjuta Train” came under discussion? 9. Was he asked about his confession
in the BD Parliament that India helped actively Mukti Bahni in East Pakistan and
his claim of the credit of creation of Bengla Desh? 10. Did Moodi congratulate
the Pakistanis celebrating Birth day of the Founder of Pakistan- an event more
important than Nawaz Sharif’s birth day!! 11. Did Moodi’s venomous speech at
Kabul come under discussion? If none of the above issues, so important for
Pakistan, were discussed, then how can we term Moodi’s visit as “Official”?
It is time that we develop the habit of calling a spade a spade and stop
be-fooling the masses. It was only a private visit by Moodi with a definite
purpose i.e. to get trade route/transit facilities for India and I fear he has
got this assurance. Well done the Legacy of Muslim League (The Party which has
creation of Pakistan to its credit), Sincere, Loyal, Custodian of national
interests, and Well wishers of Pakistanis!! Mind you this is your third term in
the office as PM. “Make hay while the sun shines.” A sincere advice: “Do not let
yourself go down in the pages of history.” History books are replete with such
characters.
