Former Test skipper Azhar Ali has paid honor to New Zealand pacer Neil Wagner for selecting to continue playing the first Test against Pakistan despite a fractured toe and resultant pain.
Azhar, in a virtual press conference at the end of day four’s play, commended Wagner for the spirit of his thinking.
Azhar Ali said in a statement,
“Neil Wagner has set an example for the rest of us,”
“We respect him a lot for playing with an injury.”
Neil Wagner bowled on with a fractured toe against Pakistan and yet ended with figures of 2-50.
