Sanju Samson pulls powerfully

Toss Chennai Super Kings chose to bowl v Rajasthan Royals

MS Dhoni won the toss and didn"t hesitate to send Rajasthan Royals in to bat as Chennai Super Kings look to maintain their sharp record chasing in IPL 2019, having succeeded on three of four occasions batting second.

Sanju Samson has been declared fit for Royals and his return beefs up their batting line-up after missing their last two matches. Royals missed his aggression in particular against Kolkata Knight Riders, who chased a modest target of 140 in less than 14 overs to race past the Royals on Sunday. Samson is one of three changes for Royals as Jaydev Unadkat returns and the 17-year-old legspinner Riyan Parag makes his IPL debut. Making way are Prashant Chopra, S Midhun and K Gowtham.

For Super Kings, Harbhajan Singh and Scott Kuggeleijn exit from side that defeated Knight Riders by seven wickets at home on Tuesday. Harbhajan had figures of 2 for 15 in the win but makes way for the left-arm spinner Mitchell Santner while Kuggeleijn"s pace-bowling slot has been taken by Shardul Thakur.
