They urged the United States to put pressure on the Modi-led government to stop atrocities on Sikhs in India and to openly support the establishment of an independent state of Sikhs.
The protesters also demanded justice for the family members of the pro-Khalistan leader, Hardeep Singh Nagar, who was killed in Canada.
