Nar Kachur
Curcuma zedoaria or Nar Kachur is also known as white turmeric and zedoary. It is a perennial herb from Zingiberaceae family. Originally, it belongs to India and Indonesia however now it is also grown in other parts of the world including Florida - USA. It's tastes bitter and smells like camphor. It's use as a cooking spice has been diminished. Instead, ginger or turmeric are widely used in its place. It is used to make soaps and in perfume making.
