The Pakistan Television Corporation owns PTV News, a 24-hour news channel. PTV News is a cable and satellite news channel that was launched in response to stiff international competition. It also started live streaming on YouTube in HD from June 2021.
PTV News keeps its viewers in the country up to date on the latest national and international news. The area and scope of news coverage have rapidly expanded over the last few years. With an increase in the number of bulletins, Pakistan Television News can keep viewers up to date on the latest events at the national and international levels.
PTV News has made arrangements with Reuters TV, London, a world-leading network, to satellite news items to PTV Islamabad around the clock to provide maximum coverage of international events. PTV News covers all VVIP visits abroad, international conferences, and important other events with its camera teams and makes every effort to air them the same night. PTV news has proven to be ahead of the world's leading networks on several occasions in the past when it comes to airing major events.
PTV News Live Streaming
PTV news run from early morning until late at night. The morning transmission includes two Urdu language bulletins. There are four short-duration Urdu language bulletins, one Kashmiri language bulletin, one Arabic language news bulletin Al-Akhbar, and one 9 p.m. Urdu language main bulletin Khabarnama in the evening/night transmission.
PTV News is telecasted from centers to allow people in the areas to watch PTV news bulletins in their native language. Regional language bulletins in Punjabi are aired from Lahore, Sindhi from Karachi, Pushto, and Hindko from Peshawar.
PTV News has been working tirelessly to promote the right of the people of occupied Kashmir to self-determination and to counter Indian propaganda about the fate of our Kashmiri brothers and sisters. PTV depicted Indian forces' atrocities against the oppressed people of Kashmir. PTV broadcasts voice cast interviews with Kashmiri leaders from across the Line of Control to project the inhuman treatment of Muslims in Indian-held Kashmir. PTV News has a permanent news bureau in Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir, where it covers various events such as visiting foreign journalists and foreign delegations who witness the plight of Kashmiri refugees who have been forced to flee their homes.
