Punishment to Sanjay Dutt

One who has created a crime
must be and should be punished as per law. Sanjay got punishment well within the
provisions of law. Lot is being aired on for or against his going to
imprisonment at this stage looking to his present status, stature, conduct, his
responsibilities toward society and family. It is primarily the time lag between
the crime occurred and the completion of judicial processes that made all the
difference. Had the judgment been delivered within reasonable timeframe and or
he had undergone imprisonment of 5 years in one go, the situation ought to have
been different for him, his family and his role toward society at large. It is
ironical that it took 20 years to settle a case that involved INDIA,s
sovereignty. Further, how much time it will take to execute death plenty awarded
in this case is a big question. Justice delayed in fact alter the very spirit of
the judgment.
