Cinema is the most popular form
of recreation in our country. Every city has a good number of cinema halls, and
the film industry has become a big industry these days.
A man who works hard for long hours wants some recreation in the evening, and
cinema gives him a great joy. Through films we may also known about the life,
manners and customs of the people living in different countries. Educational
films may also helps our students a lot in their studies. Thus, good films helps
us a great deal in broadening our outlook. Then, there are films which represent
remarkable incidents. One can see distant countries of the world on the cinema
screen, without taking the trouble of going abroad now we are in a street of New
York, now I a ark of Tokyo, now we see the floods of the Mississippi, and after
a minute, the burning sands of the Sahara.
But cinema has certain disadvantages as well. As we know, some picture show
daring crimes and robberies on the screen. They show criminals and pickpockets,
corrupt the minds of young men. They are bound to corrupt the minds of even
those who don’t go to pictures. In our country, where we claim to establish an
Islamic state, this problem should be taken up quite seriously. We should use
films only for educative purposes and our recreations too should we in
accordance with our social traditions and religion.
